Infant Program

At Secret Heart Academy, our infant care program is specially designed for children aged 8 to 24 months, providing high-quality care in a learning environment tailored specifically for infants. We understand how vital these early years are, and our nurturing, experienced educators work to ensure that infants feel safe and secure, creating a smooth and happy transition into the program.

Recognizing that infants spend a significant portion of their waking hours with us, we are mindful of the important role we play in their early development. While we cannot replace a parent's care, we strive to offer a loving environment that fosters social, emotional, academic, and physical growth. Even at this early stage, our focus on structure and curriculum gives infants the consistency they need, while promoting a safe and clean space for exploration and discovery.

Toddler Program

Our toddler program provides a stimulating environment for young explorers, designed to nurture their natural curiosity. Our planned learning experiences aim to foster each child's growing independence, enhance their social skills, and build the confidence needed to reach their individual potential, preparing them for pre-kindergarten and beyond.

At Secret Heart Academy, our experienced educators have crafted a structured program that encourages sensory exploration and creative expression through activities such as experimenting with crayons, paint, water, sand, and modeling dough. Your child will be introduced to numbers, letters, and shapes, with daily activities focused on building vocabulary, developing self-help skills, and forming friendships. The opportunities for fun and meaningful learning experiences are endless.

Junior Kindergarten 3–4 Program

Our Junior Kindergarten 3 program provides children ages 3–4 with a supportive, education-based environment where they can build confidence, independence, friendships, and a genuine love of learning. Through meaningful classroom experiences, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, express their ideas, solve problems, and work cooperatively with their peers.

Our educators introduce early literacy, numeracy, science, creative arts, social-emotional learning, and practical life skills through hands-on activities and thoughtfully planned lessons. Children strengthen communication, letter and number recognition, counting, sorting, patterning, fine-motor skills, emotional awareness, and conflict-resolution skills in ways that are engaging and age-appropriate.

Junior Kindergarten 4–5 Program

Our Junior Kindergarten 4 Program provides children ages 4–5 with a structured, education-based environment that strengthens the skills needed for a confident transition into elementary school. Children develop early reading, writing, mathematics, science, communication, and critical-thinking skills through thoughtfully planned lessons, thematic learning units, and engaging classroom experiences.

Each day includes a balance of individual instruction, small-group learning, and hands-on activities that encourage children to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and express their ideas. Learning centres reinforce classroom concepts while supporting fine and gross motor development, creativity, independence, and language growth in ways that are meaningful and age-appropriate.

Children are also given opportunities to make choices, take on leadership roles, work collaboratively, and build positive relationships with their peers. By the end of the program, children have developed a strong academic foundation, greater confidence and independence, and the social-emotional skills needed to begin kindergarten ready and excited to learn.

Multi-Age Program

Our Multi-Age Program brings children of different ages together in a welcoming, education-based environment where they can learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships. By sharing daily experiences with both younger and older peers, children develop stronger communication skills, confidence, empathy, cooperation, and a greater sense of belonging.

Mixed-age learning creates valuable opportunities for children to support and learn from one another. Older children strengthen leadership skills by guiding, helping, and caring for younger classmates, while younger children benefit from observing and learning from more experienced peers. These interactions encourage positive social behaviour, independence, problem-solving, and cognitive development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which program is right for my child?+

Program placement follows your child’s age and stage. Our team is happy to walk you through the options on a tour and recommend the best fit based on age, routine, and location.

Do you offer full-time and part-time care?+

Yes. We offer both full-time and part-time schedules, Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm. Availability varies by program and location.

How does gradual entry work?+

New families are eased in gently. We arrange shorter visits over the first days so your child can build trust with their educators and settle into the routine comfortably.

No. Our infant and toddler programs fully support diapering and toilet learning, and we partner with families on readiness at every step.

What should my child bring?+

A change of clothes, indoor shoes, any comfort item, and weather-appropriate outerwear. We’ll share a full checklist when you enrol.
